Project Description

Sometimes architects do things that are odd (in our opinion!). This upstairs playroom had an opening in the sheetrock wall… presumably to let in light and make the space seem large? We’re not sure. But an opening in a wall with a 14′ drop onto the tile floor below…. not ideal in a kid’s playroom.

We framed in the opening, hung new sheetrock, and floated and textured it to match the existing walls. Then everything was primed and painted to match. No more dangerous opening for kids to fall through.

BONUS: the house is now a bit quieter when the playroom doors are closed!
